Great Big Bear is something of a rarity in the Alps – a three-bedroomed property, perfect for smaller groups who don’t want to compromise on the location, facilities and grand living spaces usually the reserve of much larger luxury chalets.
Nestled just in front and slightly below big sister Marigold, Great Big Bear offers the same spectacular views and modern open plan living. No corners have been cut or compromises made – this is a small but perfectly formed chalet with so much to offer. The chalet enjoys many of the same design features as Marigold, including floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and kitchen/dining area from which to take in the epic views. The master bedroom with its huge en suite bathroom and private balcony is as impressive as any we have seen in much larger chalets. The second double bedroom is far from modest too, with superb en suite facilities and a balcony shared with the spacious en suite bunk room.
The upper floor is split with a fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area at the top, leading down to a large living room with a large screen TV and log fire. Both rooms open onto the balcony, with plenty of comfortable seating as well as a 4-person hot tub.
The location is also superb, being slightly elevated from the village means plenty of sunshine and incredible views, but you can reach the lifts easily on foot. This also means dining out or nipping to the shops is a quick and easy. Great Big Bear is perfect rented on it’s own for groups of up to 8 people, or in connection with Marigold where you have a combined capacity of up to 20 people.
What is there more kindly than the feeling between host and guest?
